Description:
This driver is for the IS301 standalone iPod dock, connected via serial. This driver shows metadata from the iPod, but does not support music browsing due to limitations of the IS301 protocol.
Marantz iPod Docks
XP-8 Driver
This driver was designed and tested with Marantz Common Conrol Specification: Document Version 0.01 dated 3/4/2009 and an IS301 Wireless iPod Dock
The serial port requires serial cable a 1/8" TRS jack at one end and a female DB9 at the other. The tip connects to pin 2, the ring to pin 3 and the sleeve to pin 5
The device includes commands for chapter, playlist and album skip as well as tracks and they are included but the logic of them is difficult to figure out.
The maximum length of the metadata strings is 30 characters.
