Description:

This driver is for the Steinway-Lyngdorf Model P1 Surround Processor, connected to the XP processor via RS-232. It supports control and feedback for Power, Volume, Mute, Source, Room Perfect Focus Point, and Room Perfect Voicing.

RS-232 Connection

The Serial (RS-232) connection on the Model P1 should be connected with a straight through cable to the processor serial adapter.

The default baud rate of the Serial (RS-232) port is set to 9600. Baud rates of 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, and 115200 are also available

Driver Notes

- Serial Setup Feedback of the Model P1 should be set to setting 2 for driver compatibility. HW Handshaking should be turned off.

- The initial release of the driver (version 1.0) supports Power, Volume, Mute, Source, Room Perfect Focus Point, and Room Perfect Voicing commands, variables, and events only.

- The driver will show a disconnected state if the Model P1 is shut off for an extended period of time as the Model P1 does not respond to ping commands when shut down.

- Source, Room Perfect Focus Point, and Room Perfect Voicing name variables are acquired during driver initialization if available.
