Description
While the T2-C is capable of controlling devices directly using infrared control, it is more than just a universal remote control - the T2-C is an expandable control system. When used with the available RTI automation devices, the T2-C is capable of bi-directional communication using ZigBee® technology, allowing feedback from compatible devices such as music servers and environmental controls.
The T2-C utilizes the latest in radio frequency technology. ZigBee® is a communication standard (IEEE 802.15.4) that uses radio frequency (RF) at 2.4GHz to create a self-healing wireless mesh network. This allows bi-directional communication between the T2-C and two-way enabled RTI control processors via RTI ZM-24 Transceiver Modules. Designed for easy network expansion, multiple ZM-24 Transceiver Modules may be widely deployed, providing ultra-reliable and low-cost control of very large areas.
NOTE: For RF control, a ZM-24 2.4 GHz transceiver module and Zigbee enabled control processor must be used with this model of remote. It is not compatible with the 433MHz antenna.
