RTI's U2 Remote Control Wins Rental & Staging Systems/InfoComm 2009 Product Award in 'Most Innovative Control Product for Commercial Installation' Category
SHAKOPEE, Minn. — June 30, 2009 - Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), a leading manufacturer of professional-grade, integrator-friendly control solutions, today announced that its U2 weather-resistant remote control was honored with a Rental & Staging Systems magazine InfoComm 2009 Product Award. Presented at InfoComm's annual A/V Awards Ceremony on June 16, the U2 was chosen as a winner in the "Most Innovative Control Product for Commercial Installation" category.
This year's Rental & Staging Systems/InfoComm 2009 Product Awards showcased the most innovative products introduced in 2008. The winners in each category were selected by Rental and Staging Systems' readers after a month of voting. For the category of "Most Innovative Control Product for Commercial Installation," they chose the U2, RTI's second generation of weather-resistant remote control. The durable design of the U2 allows it to take control of the most sophisticated media or environmental systems from any location, making it the perfect companion for restaurants, bars, boats, and more.
"We designed the U2 to allow integrators to deliver a complete control solution for any commercial or residential installation that requires reliable wireless control in wet or harsh environments," said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. "It is an honor and quite gratifying to have our efforts recognized with the Rental & Staging Systems/InfoComm 2009 Product Award."
Fully customizable, the U2 combines the convenience of eight programmable soft buttons with an easy-to-read, high-contrast LCD that can display custom buttons, graphics, and text, even in bright sunlight. Providing a simple and flexible interface for operating today's sophisticated electronic systems, the U2 offers 33 programmable keypad buttons that allow easy access to frequently used applications. All buttons provide tactile feedback, and programming is easy and convenient with RTI's proprietary, award-winning Integration Designer® software.
